Scaffolding in Hastings.

Hastings is our home patch and the town we are on site in most weeks of the year. From the Old Town to Silverhill, Ore and St Leonards, we put up scaffolds for re-roofs, solar installs, chimney work and full renovations, and our yard is close enough that a short-notice erect is usually genuinely possible rather than a polite maybe.

The housing stock here is unusually mixed. Victorian and Edwardian terraces dominate the town centre, there are large detached properties on the West Hill and Fairlight side, and post-war semis across Hollington and Ore. Each needs a different approach: terraces need hand-carried tube and careful neighbour liaison, while the bigger detached roofs often need a loading bay and a longer run of working lift.

Old Town lanes and the steep roads off the seafront are the main challenge. We regularly hand-carry materials fifty metres or more, work around resident parking bays, and apply for highways licences from East Sussex County Council where the scaffold sits over a footpath. Coastal wind exposure also means we tie in more heavily and sheet selectively rather than by default.

Hastings has one of the highest solar uptake rates in East Sussex, and a large share of our work here is access for PV installers working on south-facing terraces and bungalows.

Every scaffold we put up in Hastings is erected by CISRS carded scaffolders, built to TG20:21 compliant configurations or a bespoke engineered design, tagged on handover and inspected every seven days while it stands. We carry £10m public liability insurance and provide RAMS on request. Prices are fixed in writing before we book a date, so what you are quoted is what you pay.
